In South Africa, social grant applications are administered by the South African Social Security Agency (SASSA). In the wake of the end of the National State of Disaster, SASSA R350 grants are now administered under the Social Assistance Act. You may still be able to reinstate your R350 grant application if your circumstances have changed since you cancelled it. What should I do if my SASSA grant application has been cancelled?

The Social Relief of Distress Grant (SRD Grant) is available to South African citizens, refugees and asylum seekers between ages 18 and 60. Social assistance and other financial assistance are not provided to beneficiaries with insufficient means.

How to reinstate my SRD grant application?

- Aside from this social grant, NSFAS and UIF don’t receive any other funding.
SASSA will also need the following information in addition to the information below:

- The Declaration and Consent document should be read and accepted.
There is a possibility that the SASSA status check failed because you provided invalid information that was not on SASSA’s system or was not registered on SASSA’s system.
